Dear Members,
Local rules have been amended/updated on the back of the scorecards and members should familiarise themselves with these local rules.
1. To bring to the attention of the ladies that the 8th hole has now changed from a par 5 to a par 4 and is still stroke Index 10.
2. In Particular local rule number 7, concerning the 13th hole. (As written on the back of our new cards).
(Any player hitting in the direction of the water hazzard on the right hand side of the 13th fairway should hit a provisional ball from the teeing ground in the interest of pace of play). Rules of golf apply.
Local rule on 13th Hole explained.
Members can not assume that the ball is in the water hazzard from teeing ground, as the ball may also be outside of the water hazzard. If a member finds their ball outside the water hazzard they must proceed with their original ball. If a member finds or can clearly identify his/her ball in the water hazzard they can then proceed under rule 26.1 (Water hazard rule) If the original ball is not found or identified within the five-minute search period, the player must continue with the ball played provisionally.
Theses rule have been updated and agreed upon by the competitions committee. (29/June/2018)
p.p.
Thank you.
