Knightsbrook Junior Golf Club
End of year club fundraiser
September 22nd 2018
What a way to finish a fantastic golfing season! We had just shy of 40 juniors out on the course competing in three categories; 9 holes (red tee box) Singles, 9 holes (200m) Singles and 5 hole scramble.
The juniors played some fantastic golf on the day and well done to all our category winners. Thank you to the parents who supervised the golf and caddied for the juniors on the day!
The clubhouse was a hive of activity with over 60 juniors joining in the social event and their families too. It was a great event with delicious hot food, sandwiches and treats provided thanks to our kind sponsors.
The support from our members and local businesses for sponsorship was fantastic and we couldn’t have done it without you. A special thanks to Mr Gerald Reilly and Mr Eugene Healy for covering the juniors costs on the day and also the 1st prizes, to Mr Peter Callaghan of The Stile for the jam-packed goodie bags and to the golf shop for their generous sponsorship, time and support all year round to name but a few.
All sponsorship received from club members, parents, friends, family members, local businesses and further afield was invaluable and we cannot thank you enough, there are far too many to name but thank you.
Our annual raffle was as successful as ever and we were so excited to add our new fundraiser, The Car Park Space! Congratulations to Mr Colin Fitzmaurice on winning the use of this space, thanks for taking part and well done on your win. (we’ll be in touch soon!!)
The hard-working junior committee has had a super year, their commitment to growing the junior club, to engage with the juniors and to provide the best experience for them has been amazing and you deserve the biggest thanks of all. Enjoy the winter season off and we’ll see you back in full swing in early Spring. If any member would like to come on board and help out in any way we’d love to hear from you!
To all those who have been part of the Knightsbrook Junior Golf Club for 2018, thank you! See you in the Spring.
Regards,
