You will be glad to hear that work continues on the course. Verti-cutting machines have been used on the greens. With the very dry weather over the last few weeks, the irrigation system has been very much in action. At this time of year, there is a lot more work to be done and two more of Knightsbrook’s course maintenance staff will be rejoining Ronan Carey from next week.

The Officers of the club held a virtual meeting on Tuesday last. We discussed, among other things, how the club might run competitions when the course reopens. Hopefully, things will become a lot clearer in the near future when announcements about the possible easing of restrictions are made. We will, of course, be keeping a close eye on Government advice and the guidance of the GUI.
