The postponed AGM of Knightsbrook Golf Club took place on Monday, December 19th 2022. Our 2023 Captain Alan Codd was unanimously elected as were all officers and committee members. The Secretary’s and Treasurer’s reports were passed. The outgoing Captain Raymond Murray chaired the proceedings and thanked all the members for their support in 2022. He said he was overwhelmed by all the good wishes he received during the year and that he will never forget the excellent turnout for Captain’s Day and night and for the Christmas lunch. Captain Raymond commended each member of the committee for their work during the year on behalf of the members. He remembered all those who passed in 2022 and in particular his dad Michael Murray and how the members supported him and his family during that tough time, just before his Drive-In in March. The meeting also remembered and paid tribute to Brendan Greene, our esteemed member who recently passed away. Captain Raymond performed the traditional handing over of the captain’s blazer to Alan Codd, Captain 2023.
Alan thanked Raymond for his work and commitment to the club and for giving him the honour of being captain for 2023. He hoped to play golf with as many members as possible during the year.
