President’s Prize takes place on Sunday the 12th of September. We wish our President, Sean Ó Díomasaigh well. Unfortunately, he cannot be with us for the event and Richard Wheeler will deputise for him on the day. Best wishes Richard. The competition will be stableford off the whites. In it, the President says “thank you to to our Captain Gerald Reilly for his leadership, hard work and loyalty to the club over many years. Each member of this year’s committee has worked hard throughout the year and served the members very well. Thanks to all.  Particular thanks to Richard for his service as Acting President in my absence. Finally, I would like to join in the many well deserved tributes to Mr Peter Igoe for his dedication, commitment and financial contribution to the ongoing development of our golf course, which has received so many accolades during the last few years. Thanks to all course staff under the leadership of Ronan Carey, the golf shop staff led by Kate Jones and the clubhouse staff. Have a great day on Sunday and good luck to all. Watch the 18th, it has spoiled many a card! Finally congratulations to our honorary member Leona Maguire on her magnificent performance representing Europe in the Solheim Cup.
